CVT Polini Hi Speed Evolution 2 PiaggioPolini Variator Hi-Speed Evolution 2 Piaggio NRG \/ Typhoon, tuning variator by renowned Italian manufacturer Polini. Since 2015, Polini has been offering their Hi-Speed CVTs as an Evolution variant. In contrast to the equally widespread oversize models, this is a “standard” model and can be used with the original rear pulley and standard V-belt.

This is the EVO 2, which is the further developed and improved version of the already very powerful Hi-Speed CVT. Polini used their many years of experience and considerable know-how to develop a variator that, compared to the standard variator, gets a clear power boost from the engine, with stable power transmission and improved acceleration across the entire speed range. Your scooter will rev more aggressively and reach higher top speeds.

For the EVO 2 version the Polini engineers opted for a DLC (Diamond Light Carbon) bushing – light, low friction, sturdy. Two high quality oil seals ensure constant lubrication. The cores of the variator roller weights have polished sliding surfaces, the outside shells come with a heat- and wear-resistant Nylon \/ Aramid coating. The contra spring (plus anti-torsion spring seat) has a spring tension of +8%, so it is a bit harder than the stock spring.
