CVT Polini Hi-Speed Evolution d.16mm \/ 12.5° Piaggio ZIP

Polini developed a CVT to match their state-of-the art racing crankcase P.R.E. (Polini Racing Engine): Polini Variator Hi-Speed Evolution d.16mm \/ 12.5° Piaggio ZIP. The Polini Hi-Speed variator was improved and adapted to perfectly match the P.R.E. setup, with special 12.5° angle and even better overall performance.

The main difference to the standard Hi-Speed Evolution variators is the changed angle of the variator to improve acceleration in high-end \/ tuned engines. The roller tracks come with an extremely low-friction coating. The 16mm sleeve also has a special coating to minimize friction. All of this results in more power, improved acceleration, better shifting characteristics and reduced wear.

To make optimum use of the CVT’s potential, we recommend combining it with the corresponding 12.5° pulley and an oversize transmission (V-belt + torque drive).
